BIO
Lucinnia Majik is an Afro-Latinx transfeminine non-binary performer, House mother, artist, Houstonian, and Afro-futurist who is now working with Rocky Mountain Equality as the Trans and Racial Equity Coordinator. She strives to curate transgender liberation by showcasing and hosting events and workshops that cultivate bodily autonomy, spiritual awareness, and artistic inquiry.
Lucinnia's areas of interest, outside of work, include supporting her community through Kiki ballroom activism, freelance literary scholarship, and artistic investigation through dance and somatic forms of expression. Her work is and has been rooted in her personal experiences with decolonizing systemic oppression, and finding vibrant solutions to modern difficulties faced by transgender people of color. Her higher education also spotlights research and inquiry into creative methods of transforming minority stress into community resilience.
Lucinnia's hope with this position is to be of avid service to the Boulder Valley QTPOC population, and to sustain liberating containers for communal action and individual growth.
