This morning we know that 15 candidates committed to LGBTQ equality who were endorsed by Rocky Mountain Equality Action Fund have won their races. Through candidate endorsements, voter engagement, and community advocacy, Rocky Mountain Equality Action Fund amplified voices committed to equity, dignity, and justice.
These Colorado candidates endorsed by Rocky Mountain Equality Action Fund emerged victorious, winning positions that will be instrumental in shaping a more inclusive Colorado. Among those elected to office are:
Gebhardt, Kathy (D): State Board of Education, District 2
Kipp, Cathy (D): CO State Senator, District 14
Jaquez Lewis, Sonya (D): CO State Senator, District 17
Amabile, Judy (D): CO State Senator, District 18
Joseph, Junie (D): CO State Representative, District 10
Titone, Brianna (D): CO State Representative, District 27
Smith, Lesley (D): CO State Representative, District 49
Zokaie, Yara (D): CO State Representative, District 52
Boesenecker, Andrew (D): CO State Representative, District 53
Dougherty, Michael (D): District Attorney, District 20
Levy, Claire (D): Boulder County Commissioner
At this time, some races for candidates endorsed by Rocky Mountain Equality Action Fund are still too close to call.
